365 Cards Challenge Day 148

This card is for 365 Cards Day 148-Super Sketchy Sunday. I saw this technique on cuttlebug challenge. It's done with a metal stencil on two sided adhesive and glitter. I never do anything easy, for my first try I picked a stencil that was a little tight to mask for the two colors. But it turned out not bad.
ooops. Sorry about the last post. After posting I was going down the other posts and noticed I had already posted the purple card. I didn't have it marked off my list for posting.
Have a great day :)

Thinking of You

Here is a get well card I made the same time I did the sympathy card for 365 cards challenge. Randy needed it for someone from his office who had surgury.
Well rain again. I plan on doing nothing today (but laundry) and card making although I'm running out of time the afternoon has already started. The day will be over before I know it.
Yesterday was a very long day. Randy had an RC Car Race in Whitby. It was up at 5.00am to leave the house by 6.00am. A two hour drive, and standing around in a parking lot all day watching grown men race cars around a track. Actually it was a lot of fun, even the kids had a good day. But it was 9.15pm before we were back home. So today everyone is very tired.
Hope to post later tonight with a new card
Have a great day :0)

hello

Last week I went into the craft store to pick up discontinued cuttlebug christmas folders. As usual you can never leave there with just one thing. This new folder was there. The set embosses the flower pattern right on the card, and it also comes with a cutting die with four words. This is what I came up with. I used some flocking on one flower and leaves.
Have a great weekend :0)

365 challenge 143 144

Today's cards are for 365 cards challenge 144 You Raise Me Up. To add dimension to my cards I like these 3D images. They are fun to put together. Some added gems are always nice too.
The second one is day 143 Keep it to Yourself : Sympathy. I used the negative image of an outline sticker.
Well the last two days were nice and sunny out. Today I'm back to work and yes it's rainning. Which will make it busy today, because half our population in the summer is cottagers and they can't stay at the cottage when it rains. The thing to do is go grocery shopping. But at least it makes the day go fast.
Chat later :0)

Thinking of you

This is the other card I made the other night. This one is a get well card, the same as yesterdays.
Today was a great day here. The sun was shining for a change. The kids were at poppa's for most of the day and Randy was at work. It was a quiet day(I haven't had one of those for a while). After doing some house work I made a pot of tea and went out to the deck and read for an hour. How peaceful. The dog didn't even bug me.
Have a great day. ;)

365 challenge day141

This card is for 365 card challenge day 141.
Last night I whipped up 3 versions of this card. Two were sympathy and the third was a get well card that Randy needed for the office.
Have a great day :)

Trains

Another overcast day here. It can't decide wether it is going to rain or clear up. What a summer we've had.
Here is a birthday card I've made for my dad's birthday present. I made him a card holder that I did at a card class. I'm filling it with cards for him. This train reminds me of our train ride in England. Although the train was a more modern high speed train. We took it from Manchester to London. What beautiful country side there was to see.
Everyone have a great weekend. ;)

Home at last

Well its been a week since we arrived home from England. What a great trip. The wedding was beautiful. We had to pack alot of site seeing into six days. It started out we were 3 hours late leaving the airport. There had been a problem with a passenger when the plane was leaving London. Then on our way home, we were late getting to the airport and didn't have seats together. Just as we arrived at the gate for bording, an anouncement came on that there were two seats in first class. We jumped right on those. So a small fee we were able to sit together . I never want to fly coach again. What a difference.

I finally got making some cards last night. I think I was going through withdrawl. I really like these pyramid cards. I found this one and printed it from http://www.imag-e-nation.com/ . It even had the background paper.

Must go to make kids some dinner. They seem to think they need a steady supply of food.

Have a great day :0)

Canada Day

I have no cards to show this week. I've been rushing around getting last minute things for our trip. We leave tomorrow for England, and we haven't packed yet. Today will be laundry and packing. Sam and I are doing our nails together. (She's like a cling-on, having a hard time with us leaveing. And so am I) This is the first time both of us will be away from the kids. But it will be good for us all. Randy and I need some time just for us.

So happy carding and I'll chat in a week or so.:0)
